We recently had a wonderful talk at the Livewires Community Cafe from Stephanie Bromley of the RNID.

It was heart-warming to hear such a fine informative session from someone who is profoundly deaf.

As a sufferer from Tinnitus myself, I was very interested to hear what she had to say. There are lots of resources and advice available from the R.N.I.D. for hearing disorders and impairments. Stephanie talked in some detail, for example, about hearing aids and cochlear implant advice. She was also able to dispel some illusions that many of us have about deaf folk.
