The following statement was issued on 9.2.10

Brixton and Yealmpton Joint Working Group (JWG)

The JWG of the two Parish Councils met in January 2010 to progress the outcome of the ballot in favour of a shared use path running parallel to the A379 highway.

We are now in contact with Devon County Council and the Kitley Estate and we are awaiting an acknowledgement that they have finally agreed terms in order that this project may proceed.

Another meeting of the JWG is scheduled for February when we should have more information to plan the way forward.

The JWG reports regularly to their monthly Parish Council meetings.
